Because Archives contain materials that are unique, unpublished, or not widely available, they do not extend lending privileges to researchers. Use of archival collections is limited to the Archives reading rooms at the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses. For items that have been digitized or are born-digital, users may view them online from the Scholarly Online Access Repository (SOAR). Additional access to content involves requesting reproductions of originals.
Due to preservation and security concerns, the Kennesaw State University Archives does not permit researchers to make copies of materials, with the exception of digital photography using personal cell phones. However, permission must be obtained from an archivist before taking any photographs, as there may be copyright or condition restrictions. The Archives does not duplicate entire collections.
